Marmalades Bistro

Great food,
great memories

About us

Marmalade’s Bistro has been a firm favourite in Sheringham for over 20 years. Since taking over in 2015, owners Ian and Sarah have secured its status in the
town. As a key part of many of Sarah’s own family celebrations over the years, the couple are humbled to feature in the North Norfolk ever expanding culinary
scene.

Marmalade’s takes pride in providing delicious, exciting food, accompanied by quality wines and local beers.
All food is freshly cooked and prepared to order by Ian, ensuring that our high standards are maintained from pan to plate.

With only 8 tables, Marmalade’s is intimate and modest. We offer friendly, passionate service in a relaxed environment and aim to make every guest feel special, welcome and excited to return.

Championing local produce

North Norfolk boasts some of the finest produce in the country, if not the world and chef patron Ian is very selective about the suppliers he works alongside.

From asparagus to venison, we’re proud of our relationship with local suppliers. We feel very lucky to have such quality ingredients right on our doorstep.

Bespoke wine list

Ian and Sarah have worked closely with local, family run wine suppliers Nethergate wines to create an affordable, exciting wine list.

With exclusive wines chosen specifically to pair with Ian’s menu, there’s something to suit all palates and budgets. Our list also features a selection of locally brewed ales from The Norfolk Brewhouse and Norfolk’s own Poppyland gin, distilled just down the road in Cromer.

Supplier spotlight - Bannings Butchers

Marmalade’s has been using “the butchers next door” since day one. Having such direct access to Banning’s quality produce has made keeping the menu local and seasonal so simple. Door to door must be about 5 metres, it’s a privilege to get your hands on the best fare as soon as it comes in.

The local pork from Morley’s Farm, south Creake and venison, straight from the local estates are a couple of the many offerings that Bannings supply that are second to none. They’re also handy for a few slices of home-cooked ham when lunchtime comes around for Ian.
